Although legal records show that Elluna is from Arizona, if you asked, Elluna might say the origin was actually nebula, supernova or star dust. Singing at age nine and writing songs on guitar at age twelve, Elluna has always felt a bit different from others of the same age and never quite felt like part of the crowd. Elluna has always felt a bit... alien.
Elluna's love for music led to recording and performing locally since age nineteen, being very involved in the local Arizona music scene while recording music, doing features with many other local artists and doing shows at local venues like The Rhythm Room, Club Red, The Monarch, The Underground, The Trunk Space, and CB Live. Elluna has also branched out to collaborate online with independent artists and producers from many parts of the world.
Earlier, Elluna's music had been shaped by the heavy influence that hip hop has had on the Arizona music scene as well as the tastes of online collaborators. Fans have since introduced Elluna to new influences with comparisons made with Banks, Bjork, and HANA. Elluna’s music vision was abruptly changed upon discovering ASTR and Purity Ring. Lucky Me, a song inspired by a blooming love that is so blind it causes us to willingly ignore red flags, is the first single recorded that transitions to this new electropop, art pop, experimental sound and is truly representative of Elluna’s current music vision that includes influences from R&B, Trap, EDM and Pop.
Elluna has been called “Alien Chvrches” by curators and has been called “New Grimes” by fans. Many supporters are also fans of Purity Ring, Grimes, ASTR, Banks, Lana Del Rey, Lights, and HANA. Elluna’s most recent single, Human Being, is an atmospheric, eerie, ethereal and synth heavy track that is a reflection of this sound. Elluna is currently working on more tracks that also reflect this style to be released in an EP in 2023.
